    Artificial intelligence: plenary vote and press conference
    In a vote at 12.00, Parliament will set its negotiating position on the new rules to mitigate the risks of artificial intelligence and promote its ethical use. President Metsola and co-rapporteurs Brando Benifei (S&D, IT) and Dragoș Tudorache (Renew, RO) will explain the outcome of the vote in a press conference at 13.30.

    Pegasus: Parliament’s proposals to tackle the illegal use of spyware
    Starting around 14.00, plenary will discuss Commissioner Reynders how to respond to spyware abuse in Europe, based on the findings of the Committee of Inquiry investigating Pegasus and equivalent programmes. MEPs will vote on Thursday on their recommendations on how to avoid abusive use of spyware. Lead MEPs will present the draft recommendations in a press conference at 11.00 today.
