Permobil Appoints Chuck Witkowski as President and CEO, Effective July 2025, Following Bengt Thorsson’s Departure

(PRESS RELEASE) KISTA, 20-May-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Permobil’s Board of Directors has announced Chuck Witkowski, the current President of Permobil Americas, as the new Chief Executive Officer of the company, effective July 1, 2025. Witkowski will succeed Bengt Thorsson, who is stepping down after seven years of leadership.
Since 2019, Chuck Witkowski has been overseeing Permobil’s operations and expansion in North America, the company’s largest market, which accounts for more than 65 percent of its total revenue. In addition to his role at Permobil, Chuck also serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Permobil Foundation.
Prior to joining Permobil, Chuck founded Hubble Telemedical and led it as CEO before selling it to Hillrom (now part of Baxter), where he continued his leadership as Vice President and General Manager. At Hillrom, he was responsible for developing and expanding the company’s vision care division. Chuck holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Montana and an MBA from the University of Tennessee’s Haslam School of Business.
